Gain "Pods" and Scent Boosters Review

My mom has been picking up these sample Gain "Pods" and scent boosters (like Tide Pods / boosters, but from Gain) from Lowes. I usually only use them when I'm running low or completely out of my normal detergent (Tide Cold Water), but have found myself to be using them more frequently because I love the fresh scent they have! I use the scent boosters primarily with towels and bedding as the scent is awesome and lasts quite a while. I don't trust scented things with normal clothing as one of my kids has sensitive skin and I'm afraid it'll set off an allergic reaction (hasn't yet, but you never know with products these days). We don't normally have stained clothes in our family (at least not like we used to when the kids were infants) but we do laundry nearly every day... hence why we switched to cold water. These Gain pods and boosters worked well in cold water though I'm not sure they were specifically designed for it. The first time I used t

Pantene Sheer Volume Weightless Shampoo & Conditioner

I received a sample of Pantene's Sheer Volume Weightless Shampoo and Conditioner some time ago but never got around to trying it. As luck would have it I ran out of my normal shampoo and had no choice but to give it a try! I've used Pantene before (usually the Sleek and Smooth 2 in1) and have always liked the fact that their shampoo always made my hair feel light, shiny and smooth - even after the first wash. However for some reason this new clear weightless shampoo made my hair feel heavy and dirty like I took a whole bottle of hairspray and applied it right in the shower. As far as their products go, I'm not impressed with this one - I'll stick to my Sleek and Smooth!

Contest Canada

This site is perfect if you're in a hurry but want to cash in on some great contest opportunities throughout Canada. You can easily sift through the content and directly enter the contests. The site also informs you of restrictions (provinces, ages, etc.), deadlines and frequency in which you can enter. A handy little site if you want more exclusive contests not found in other sites of similar nature.

Red Flag Deals

Red Flag Deals reminds me of eBay, there's soooooooooo much content here BUT I noticed that it generates content based on your current location - which is super handy. Its basically like a gigantic online flyer listing literally EVERYTHING in your local region that's on sale and which store has it in stock. I'm not talking little mom & pop shops, I'm talking big box retailers like Walmart, Future Shop, Staples, etc. Unlike the million other websites offering coupons and savings, this site also has user perks like Cash Back - which as I understand it: the site gives you a certain percentage back for using their site to shop online at your favorite retailers. Not sure how long it would take for you to earn the minimum of $5 for payout (via PayPal - $50 for cheques), but it sounds reasonable. I don't shop online enough to make it worth my while, but someone who frequently shops online would definitely benefit from that sort of cash back system. Definitely a site

Women Freebies

Women Freebies is another collection of free contests, giveaways, coupons and more. Its geared towards Canadian women, but really anyone can cash in on the contents of this site. It seems to be updated somewhat frequently; has perks for members (weekly contests / giveaways, etc.) and utilizes Facebook as an alternative source of additional giveaways not found on the site. The site is nicely laid out with drop down navigation bars to help further define your viewing interests. All in all its one of the more handy (and active) sites I've come across as of late.
