Chick Advisor

Chick Advisor is a site I'm proud to be a contributing member to. Its a perfect place for females (mostly) to go and share their thoughts and ideas on every day products. The site serves a dual purpose - for members you gain points and badges for content you contribute and for non-members you get feedback from real people on the products you may already use or are considering purchasing. The site offers select members a chance to be apart of special product reviews through their Product Review Club. Really all you have to do to be considered is join the site (its free) and submit 5 product reviews (of your own or that has been reviewed by other members). It took me under an hour to sign up and submit my reviews so really its not that time consuming or hard. So long as you have an opinion - good or bad - you're in!

Gain "Pods" and Scent Boosters Review

My mom has been picking up these sample Gain "Pods" and scent boosters (like Tide Pods / boosters, but from Gain) from Lowes. I usually only use them when I'm running low or completely out of my normal detergent (Tide Cold Water), but have found myself to be using them more frequently because I love the fresh scent they have! I use the scent boosters primarily with towels and bedding as the scent is awesome and lasts quite a while. I don't trust scented things with normal clothing as one of my kids has sensitive skin and I'm afraid it'll set off an allergic reaction (hasn't yet, but you never know with products these days). We don't normally have stained clothes in our family (at least not like we used to when the kids were infants) but we do laundry nearly every day... hence why we switched to cold water. These Gain pods and boosters worked well in cold water though I'm not sure they were specifically designed for it. The first time I used t...

SHEIN Review

I've been using Shein for awhile now and feel like its time to review the app, store and products (in general). So, without further ado.... The Shein App If you're looking for a cheap alternative to Amazon especially for clothes and home decor items (well, actually pretty much everything!), Shein is the place you should be shopping.  I love the Shein app, it's easy to use and super easy to filter content to your preferred buying habits and searches. I like how you can click the main category and then filter the sub categories to search only the items you're really interested in looking at and buying. Even with filtering, sometimes you still have to scroll and scroll and scroll to get to sections that interest you the most.  I do find myself thinking "hmmm... there's a lot of really risky (i.e. provocative) items here" and find it difficult to find clothes that aren't skimpy, see-through, full of holes (the latest trend) or show way too much skin. So, i...
